A cold chill danced about the foggy air of civalaneous as the town folk slowly rose to their morning tasks. It was a moring not like any other and soon the markets would be bustling with the sounds of travelers and townfolk alike. You see it was the begining of tourist season and the town was finishing it's normal preperations. In two weeks the feast of juvinance would begin and the seasonwould officially be in full swing.
The Markets of Civilania were legendary. As a sea-side city it enjoyed many foriegn delicacies and the locale produce and crafts were equally enticing. Civilania was simply a great place to live, and an evey greater place to visit this time of year.
As you journey to the northeast of the town you find the Provinicia Prominade. This was the heart of the market district, with street venders and cafes. Despite the early hour it was already getting busy and the light of dawn was cresting the easter hill and chsing the cold form the market.
It just so happen that today a young poor boy Christopher, his friends call him chris, was traveling through the market with his uncle Eric. Though Chris had seen the market many times before he was always impressed with the preperations. When is the first great play he asked his uncle, but his uncle's respones was cut short by the sounds of metal and shouting.
Not three feet from Christopher a young boy in tatered cloths burst through the tent cloth of an adjacent shop, carrying pots and trinkets and droping more of his booty every other step, until the need for haste out wieghed his greed and he droped all but two of them in an attempt to escape the guard now pounding at his heels. It happend so fast that Chris couldn't react. Stop him shouted the guards, but Chris stood there dumbfounded as the thief passed quickly. But as he passed his eyes locked with Christophers. The brief connection was so deep that Diggery almost thought he could hear the boy's thoughts, but out of time he dropped the loot and fled.
The guards were not nearly fast enough to catch the nimble thief but they had recovered almost all of the merchants goods and that would be worth a commendation and maybe even a small bonus. If they had caught the thief the head captain Alexander would have treated them all to a fine dinner, but they had not so avoiding a scolding was reward enough.
Diggery should not run for long he new, as running only encouraged curiosity and the guards had lost him four blocks ago. Still, he had to get out of sight just in case. A sucker was what he needed. And that was exactly what he found.
